Audiology is the study of hearing, especially hearing defects and their treatment. They mainly focus on partial and complete hearing impairment. Audiologists have specialization options such as prevention, identification, assessment and rehabilitation of hearing disorder. When a hearing loss occurs,audiologists examine the nature and extent of the hearing disability and recommend appropriate treatment, including hearing aids or other assisted devices.
